my Story

I am currently focused on creating contemporary abstract art.  Each piece is unique.  My art primarily reflects my pure joy and intense passion for finally having the time, resources, and freedom to create.  I served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years from 1992-2012. Upon retirement, I immediately began pursuing art on a full-time basis.  I use vibrant colors and an organic style to create art that is truly accessible.  In giving life to my creations, it is sometimes challenging to send them out into the world, but I never expect you to see my art with my eyes.  I eagerly invite you to interpret what you see from your own unique perspective.  If my art opens new doors or inspires in new or different ways, that makes me very happy.  The art displayed here reflects both whimsy and wistfulness. Thank you for bringing your own unique perspective in viewing my work.

My artistic passions are diverse and wide-ranging and have grown to include watercolor, pen & ink, acrylic and resin fluid art, calligraphy, abstract photography, and creating glass mosaic vessels through my own unique process.  I intricately carve goose, emu, rhea, and ostrich eggs with beautiful displays. I embellish treasure boxes with fine Italian and Japanese paper, glass, gemstones, and other artifacts; and I transform antique time pieces into art and jewelry.  I also enjoy quilling – making art from thin strips of paper. Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested in a particular piece of work.

My family and I reside in beautiful western North Carolina.
